Identifying North Central Austin Neighborhoods
Where do you wish to live when you move to Austin Texas? We have many great neighborhoods but I wish to identify 3 of the North Central Austin 'hoods that are very popular.
This home below located at 1800 Princeton Ave. (currently listed at $297,000) is similar in style of what you may find in the Crestview and Brentwood neighborhoods.
Crestview:
· North boundary: Anderson Lane
· East boundary: Lamar
· West boundary: Burnet Rd.
· South boundary: Justin Lane
Interesting fact: The Wall of Welcome, a community mosaic took FIVE YEARS to complete. Inspired by local artist Jean Graham, the Wall of Welcome is located at the Crestview Shopping Center, in the heart of this wonderful 50's era neighborhood, on Woodrow Street.
Brentwood:
· North boundary: Justin Lane
· East boundary: Lamar
· West boundary: Burnet Rd.
· South boundary: W. 45th St.
Interesting fact: Many GI's purchased the 2 & 3 bedroom cottages after World War II (commonly called Post War Cottages).
Allandale:
· North boundary: W. Anderson Lane
· East boundary: Burnet Rd.
· West boundary: MoPac (Loop 1)
· South boundary: W. 45th St.
Interesting fact: Robert McDonald found a Plesiosaur fossil in Shoal Creek in 1990.
