"Shabby Chic to Antique"
The Pink Cabbage
You know that great little store that you've driven by a few times and have always made a mental note to stop at next time you are in the area? The one that gently calls your name and you just know you'll love it?
The Pink Cabbage in Ellicott City, MD has been that kind of store for me.

We were on our way to preview a couple of listings today when we passed that great little store (again). This time we decided to listen and of course we loved it.
The Pink Cabbage's motto is "Shabby Chic to Antique. Home Décor & So Much More." and it's all that and then some.

It is more than just a store - actually it's a few little stores in one - and the perfect place for everybody who enjoys hunting for a treasure, for that special item that makes your house a home or for that unique gift like I do!

The Pink Cabbage is just charming and beautifully decorated, you'll have to take your time and walk around a few times to take it all in. The atmosphere is welcoming and the owners just lovely. And if these aren't enough reasons for you, consider that everything is very reasonably priced and you get to enjoy a cookie or two while you visit!

The Pink Cabbage is located at 11707 Frederick Rd, Ellicott City, MD 21042, right at the corner of Triadelphia Rd. They are open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.

The decor changes quite a bit, so make sure you stop by often. You can also sign up for email alerts or LIKE
The Pink Cabbage on Facebook. I'll be sure to visit again, instead of just passing by and thinking that I should ... and when I do, it would make this little shabby-chic-loving-hobby decorator extremely happy if the owners could greet me with saying:

The Pink Cabbage

Andrea, you know I want to go.  It sounds delightful and who can argue with a couple of cookies?  Not me, that's for sure.I'm glad that you took the time to stop in today. Small business owners need to be nurtured and supported so that we can always have them around.

Mona, you would totally love it, too! Cookies.. and candy for the girls .. and loads of great (home decor) items. It was long overdue and I'm glad we could finally stop and admire!

Cindy: I find shopping at these great little local stores so much more enjoyable. It's so welcoming and friendly and you can find truly unique things. I saw a lot I liked (like the whole store :-) and many things that made me think of some special people ... I see a return trip in the near future! Now if only hubby could call them ...

Andrea, My daughter lives in Columbia Heights. I get down to DC well, not often enough, but we love places like this. How far is it from DC? As we may have to put it on our list of places to check out!

Good morning Janis, you are passing by the store pretty close on your way to DC! It's off Route 40 and I'm going to guess about a 40 minute drive from DC? It's well worth the trip .. you can take the 95 to the 32N until Triadelphia Rd or skip the 95 altogether and take the back-ways. It may take you a bit longer but it's scenic with gently rolling roads and gorgeous homes along the way (New Hampshire Ave N to Brighton Dam Rd to Triadelphia (Mill) Rd for example ... I just love that whole area!)

Little shops and boutiques like that can be so very charming!  We have several California Gold Rush towns, which dot the area within a 100 mile radius of Sacramento.  Often these little towns have places like you have pictured, which I always enjoy!
