WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE A GOOD BLOGGER? THIS QUESTION WAS ASKED BY ANOTHER REALTOR IN MY OFFICE
Another Realtor in my office asked me the following question "What does it take to be a good blogger?" Wow! This question kind of threw me off guard because nobody has ever asked me that question before here in Arizona. I do not broadcast to the world that I am one of the top bloggers here in Arizona and within the ActiveRain network. The bottom line is that I blog for business. The points are nice for bragging rights when meeting potential clients.
All the educational classes are telling Realtors that they must blog and know SEO in order to attract new business. Where do you begin? What is the first step? I remember when I first started my journey in blogging three years ago. My motto is "CONSISTENCY AND GREAT CONTENT=CLOSED DEAL$. This formula has worked very successfully for me over the past three years.
So, I instructed the Realtor to join ActiveRain. I invited the Realtor to ActiveRain in which she gladly accepted my invitation. Did you know you obtain points by inviting other real estate professionals to join ActiveRain? This is a great way to build the ActiveRain network with great people.
Next, I gave her the some ideas on what she could blog about

- Property Management experiences
- Collecting rents
- Why invest in real estate
- Local real estate reports and statistics
- Talk about your favorite restaurant
Yes, I gave her several other ideas on what to blog about as she continues her journey. I would say she is off to a great start. How much did I charge her? FREE! Well, she did buy me a coffee. However, she faired better than I did with that purchase.
I am teaching her about key words, SEO, linking to other web sites and few other tricks that I have learned over the past three years to obtain more Google Juice. Blogging is like riding a bike. One just has to ride the bike unitl it become a smooth ride.
