The distribution of your advertorial content, which is valuable to so many, no longer relies upon traditional media. Disintermediation means that, rather than depend on Newspapers, TV Programming, Magazines & Web- based Media to distribute your advertorial message, you can depend on your blog to get it to your target audience. Direct.

On a larger scale, bloggers are talking about things that reporters aren't, in some cases. They've become the on site journalists that so many newspapers are cutting back on.

I think that's true... the power of the crowd armed with inexpensive web publishing tools, etc.

What's neat is, with an RSS Reader & lots of content out there formatted in RSS you [the information consumer] can pick, choose & customize what information you receive. Like building your own newspaper, but only arriving from the sources you want. Not the whole New York Times, jus the parts you like. Alongside that could be the local Sharon Simms Blog RSS feed.... and the feed from a favorite local restaurant, etc. It's limitless and in your control! - now go 180% and put your marketing hat on :-)

With alerts you can drill even deeper getting a stream of information on a particular subject, like your name or St Pete Condos.

As more and more people adopt RSS subcription, search will become less important.
