Well, this is sort of a test.  It seems that using a "compelling" title to a post gets more views.  Now, this isn't about getting views for me, it's more about wanting to get info out.  I could care less about my "score" and all that, I just want to give and receive good information.  So let's see if this title gets more attention.

The main point of this post is to share with you what I have recently learned.  Going to conference and/or meeting asset managers and networking is the fastest way to build your BPO/REO business.  Number 2 is doing hundreds of BPOs.  I recently went to a conference with Asset Valuation and Marketing ( http://www.assetval.com/ ) and I'm now receiving 4-10 BPO requests daily.  They have been emailing the requests directly to me.  I don't have to fight for them.  I had signed up with them 2 months prior and had not received anything prior to meeting them at the conference, two weeks ago.  Now I have my first listing from them.  I'm not specifically endorsing them in this post (although I like their company and their system).  I'm writing this post to tell you that if you have the opportunity, get out and physically meet the people you want to deal with.  If you can't do that, try to be persistent with calling them.  Do things that others aren't doing so that you stand out from every other agent out there that's trying to "jump on the bandwagon".  People look for the things that stand out and pass over the things that just blend in with the crowd.  Let's see if the title of this post proves that to be true...

Well, Lowell, you caught my attention.  LOL!  Speaking of AssetVal, my sister has signed up with them twice.  They keep kicking her ID and password out of their system.  Seems like a call is in order.  ;)

Hi Char and Jim,  Wow, I haven't blogged in over a month!  I've been pretty busy lately, but I really have to make the time.  Anyway, there are big 2 conferences each year.  One is in Indian Wells, CA, which is the REOMAC conference in the spring.  Go to their wesite and it should give you details.  The other big one is the 5-star conference in Austin (I think) and that's usually in the fall.  If you Google 5-star conference, you should be able to find it.  Aside from those, I would suggest you get signed up with Universal REO.  Dan has a ton of links to sign up and get work, and those are also the places you need to stay connected to, to find out about other smaller, local conferences.

Hope this helps, let me know how things go!

Lowell,

I think you are right on target about keeping in touch and going above and beyond to stand out from other agents.  I was recently speaking to another BPO agent and she told me that she has seen a significant increase in her BPO assignments simply by sending an occasional email to each of her clients. Although I am not certain exactly how her email is worded, I think it is very brief but professional.  Also, since most of us are at our computer everyday, I think that is very easy to do.
