Speechless Sunday at Versailles

These photos were taken at Versailles Palace in the Ile-De-France region of France. This is a beautiful little French town with great restaurants, bakery and the beautiful Versailles Palace.

The Palace is amazing the grounds are gorgeous although I prefer the Gardens in Giverny at Claude Monet’s home. The opulence in the Palace is amazing they have rooms decorated in different colors and hues; there is a yellow room, a pink room, a magenta room, a silver grey room, purple room, a red room and so on. It is definitely an all day event. I highly recommend it; we went in late spring.

We flew into Paris and then took a cab into Versailles. I do not think I would advice this as the traffic was one of the worst I have ever experienced. I think I would take the train into the town and the cab to the hotel. It is a great gateway to the French countryside and you avoid driving in Paris.

Wow Absolutely gorgeous pictures. A cab ride out of Paris all the way to Versailles would be very difficult to withstand and costly. Your photography skills are improving every day.

Good Morning Yolanda:

Those are beautiful photos.  The City of Versailles is rich in history, and has played a important role in shaping world politics in the early 1900.
