Longwood Gardens Orchid Extravaganza 2/19/12

We were expecting snow this afternoon so we planned to stay home.  Hopefully, we will not have the snow but now have time for a good book or thoughts of places to visit on during the cold days of winter.

If you follow my blogs, you may be tired of hearing about Longwood Gardens but it continues to be one of our favorite travel.  For those of us that live in Montgomery County, Maryland, Longwood Gardens is close enough for a day trip.  The current exhibit in the Conservatory is Orchid Extravaganza.  In addition to the orchids on display, you will have the opportunity to see thousands of beautiful flowers and plants.  Take your family, with cameras in hand, and enjoy the beauty that awaits your visit.

Life is better when there are flowers to photograph. And, everybody loves to see photographs of beautiful flowers in your blogs.

I was at Longwood yesterday and when I found out that hundreds of these orchids will be for sale March 31 and April 1, I wrote it on my calendar!
