Here is Installment #4 of |
Great post, Alex...
Yes we need the wisdom to do his will, to serve as he did.
I also looked for that verse, but only came up with,
Jam 4:17 | Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it. |
Missy Caulk Ann Arbor Real Estate ~~~ What is your big decision... let us know and we will pray for ya to have wisdom.... not that the Lord isn't listening to you already..... ;-)
Orlando Homes Armando Rodriguez Real Estate & Mortgage Broker-GRI ~~~ James 4:17 is right on the path of what I wanted to say!! THANKS!! The verse I wanted was in the Old Testament..... =-)
Hugh Krone Sussex County Realtor ~~~ To have you say I did a good job is nice, bro... a Licensed Minister in the making complementing my posts is cool...... Thanks!! =-)
If time ran out, I guess we will get to see installment 5 coming soon? :) You brought up some excellent questions for each of us to ponder. I wonder how many people will feel compelled to look in their Bibles's for the verse you could't find? I did! That is an example of Lord at work.
I didn't realize that mud was mentioned as often as it is. For the second part, were you maybe thinking of a couple of verses in Isaiah? In Isiah 55:1, there an invitation to the thirsty. Then vs. 57:20 talks about wicked who are like a tossing sea, whose waves cast up mud & mire. NIV version. Each time I open the bible, I learn or hear something new. Thanks for contributing to that!
Sondra Meyer ~~~ The verse goes something like..."If the righteous stand by and do nothing while the wicked go on sinning, it is like a breach in a dam or the stirring up of waters..... the water is no longer fit to drink, but has mud and mire floating in it...."
Maybe it is a couple of verses strung together...and the Holy Spirit is working in everyone to find those verses, hmm?
Debra A. Brooks, Texas Waterfront Specialist ~~ Sounds like from your comment that you are right there where you need to be.... in the crosshairs of Gods will!! GBY, sis! Keep up the good works!! \O/
Terry Rasner-Yacenda, ABR, GRI ~~ I love the way you are seeing what is going on, sis... and I am thankful you have so eloquently put what I am doing into words..... I better stop...this is getting embarassing!! ;-) \O/
Hi Alex, i just stopped in for a bit..... and came upon this incredible ministering post of yours, and have to say, you have NOT missed a beat! In fact, more beats have been added even in the midst of what you are facing, and GOD is truly receiving HIS glory as you share your story!!
Be encouraged my brother, have a wonderfully blessed holiday season!!
Diane Rice ~~~ Thanks sis!! In the tough times it is when we run TO the Lord and KEEP on doing good works that we get even more blessed by giving instead of taking...... Faith, Hope and Love are where it's at!!
Glory to God!!
\O/
Alexander-How good that feels to be ministered to in your post. Absolutely beautiful. I have to say, I love this statement you made:
Don't just do it for the result
of money, fame, material posessions
or recognition ~~ those are just "things"
and they do not satisfy.
How perfectly said are those words. That should be completely engraved in everybody's soul. It's difficult, if I may share, that when you do something for other's and you know that God had such a strong hand in it all and when the journey is completed, so many turn to you with incredible compliments. Each of those are very heartfelt compliments and not at all taken for granted, but when you know in your heart who really made that all possible, the recognition feels so uncomfortable, especially when recognition wasn't the intent.
I hope that makes sense. I hope you have a wonderful week and may God bless you in so many beautiful ways.
