Local area restaurant declares Fat Tuesday to be Crepe Day
Bistro Provence French restaurant has decided to have a special food day on Tuesday February 21, 2012 to celebrate Fat Tuesday. Their menu for the day will emphasize crepes of all kinds. Customers will have the opportunity to choose smoked salmon, chicken and mushroom, raifort, banana and nutella or red berry crepes for both lunch and dinner. The crepes being offered this year will replace the normal pancakes served in prior years on Fat Tuesday. The Provence region of France has a tradition of crepes and hence the Bistro Provence is moving to crepes for the Fat Tuesday selection.
Bistro Provence specializes in French food from the Provence Region and has a large selection of foods to choose from along with an excellent wine cellar. The restaurant is located at 1316 Memorial Dr. Houston, Texas and is a short drive from Katy, Texas.
My family and I have been fortunate enough to have eaten at Bistro Provence on several occasions and we love the food. Talking about the meals is making me hungry to go again. We had talked about going to celebrate Valentine’s Day but with Valentine’s being on a Tuesday and us having other commitments on the next two following Saturdays we have not been able to go. If you like French food my best guess is that you will really like this restaurant.
Bon appetit!
