Today's Charlotte Observer had an encouraging article by J.W. ELPHINSTONE of the Associated Press pertaining to our Charlotte market!

In his article, Charlotte bucks housing trend; Home values grew while other cities saw declines, Mr. Elphinstone writes the recent S&P's index of  housing prices in 20 metropolitan areas reveals that five cities, including Charlotte have increased!

Both Seattle and Charlotte, the two leading cities, showed a 4.7% increase over last year, compared to a national decrease in housing prices of 4.5%.

Investors are being quite a bit more conservative due to sub-prime lending scares and increased foreclosures but, Charlotte just keeps the slow and steady climb.

For Buyers, now is the prime time to find a home!  For Sellers, your home values have not dropped as you've been led to believe!  We're holding strong in Charlotte, NC!

Congratulations we had that same type of market until a couple of years ago. We are so tied to the auto industry it has been a struggle . Sales stay the same but our inventory is twice what we are used to. I see signs of life but the inventory needs to go in the other direction to get back on track. Thanks for your post.

Thanks Terry!  I don't think it will be long until the US sees an improvement--so hang in there!  By-the-way, I noticed your 5-Star name and wanted to share with you that my team, all as individuals, earned the 5-Star Client Satisfaction award and have the website 'Charlotte5Stars'!  I thought that a coincidence huh?!  Thanks again for the feedback!
