Many Clients asked me what the real estate market is going to be like  in 2012, is the price going to increase or decrease?   I said it may rise about two percent.   Today's article "Real estate | Metro Vancouver price growth cooled in 2011: report" which is published in Vancouver Sun confirmed my guess, for now...   Prices started dropping in June, although nine municipalities still saw double-digit gains.   Robyn Adamache, senior market analyst, Metro Vancouver, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp, said "We're expecting much less price growth this year compared to 2011."   I think it is a very detailed article for you to read because it compares house prices over a ten year stretch.   Looking forward, I would guess, 2012 will be largely influenced by confidence levels in the global economy.   This confidence level, and it sustainability, may also be influenced by moderated levels of investment from China or Chinese immigrants.
