Every blade of grass is a study; and to produce two, where there was but one, is both a profit and a pleasure. ~ Abraham Lincoln
He was speaking about agriculture, but it made me think about how people manage their properties, manage their money, and their business. More than anything, Lincoln wanted every American to have the chance to improve himself and get ahead in life. For this, education and practical knowledge were critical. He believed in productivity and conservation. Some Environmentalists and Agriculturists today, echo the economic and social argument of Lincoln's days.
I hope you have a great President’s Day!
