In order to start building traffic you will first need to get a good keyword research tool to research your keywords more accurately. Next you are going to write some articles and submit them to the top article directories based on the keywords you have researched with Keyword Elite . I use these directories in this order www.ezinearticles.com, www.articledashboard.com www.goarticles.com and www.articlecity.com there are more article directories but these are the ones that work the best for me.You will need to write a 400 word article for your chosen keyword, i make my articles 400 words because they seem to get picked up more then shorter articles.When writing your articles try and shoot for a keyword density of around 1.5%. Write your article to give the reader valuable information but not to much so they will want to visit your website for more!

You will attempt to drive visitors to your site by using the article resource box. At the end of every article is a authors resource box, in this box you want to anchor text link to your website using your selected keywords for your home page and another to a content page that deals with your article subject. Try to write an attention grabbing sentence or two to grab the visitors interest. Write 1 article a day and submit them to the directories. Rewrite each article a little when you submit it to a different directory. Other site owners will publish these articles on their own blogs and websites and leave your link in place giving you free one way back links so not only will you get visitors from the articles themselves but also from other sites using your articles as content. Additionally If you did good keyword research the articles themselves should be on the first page of Google within 48 hours for the keyword you wrote about, this is especially true with www.ezinearticles.com
