Surprise - Safest Place to Live

Not only is Surprise, Arizona very beautiful but it has been named one of the safest cities in the country and the safest in Arizona, according to the 14th annual "City Crime Rankings: Crime in Metropolitan America" which was released on November 19, 2007.

Surprise Police Chief Dan Hughes said that a low crime rate boils down to "community partnerships." "We are extremely fortunate to have outstanding officers and a great public response to programs such as Block Watch."

Surprise ranked as the 33rd safest city in America and the highest in Arizona according to the survey.

If you are looking for a terrific place to live, activity oriented and very safe, try Surprise, Arizona. You won't be disappointed.

I'm glad to here that, I have a daughter living in Sierra Vista, is that a safe place to live? I'm clueless about that state.

Brandy - Sierra Vista is way south of Phoenix, down by the border so I'm not sure about the safety there.

My mother lived in Suprise (Sun City Grand to be specific) for 10 years and she never had a problem.  It is so safe it is almost boring (in a good way).

They call it safe and as far as crime may go it's probably true but when it comes to Valley Fever it's one of least safe towns on the map.

What frightens me is when you hear of a horrific crime on the news that took place in a "Very Safe Neighborhood"... so my fear is moving to a "safe" neighborhood with my baby and then something awful happening there after we move there... Scares the dickens out of me!

Excellent post.  Since I live and work in Surprise, it is a refreshing to see that others are finding this information.
