Let's join our voices here at Active Rain and Support our Troops and LetsSayThanks and send a quick post card from you and your families! A dear Active Rain member challenge us all to do our part and post within our own communities and send a postcard to our troops! I can't agree more. Xerox has made this an easy challenge to do so! Their site was easier than composing an email. I want to Challenge all of my hometown of Gilbert and my blogging community to share your well wishes to those sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, mothers and fathers who have spent time away from their love ones for our freedoms! As we comfortably gather Christmas morning or snuggle close to our families at night, let us remember them and the sacrifices they make daily. May you all take a moment of your time and click two clicks away to send a postcard from your family!
I personally picked a postcard drawn by a little 11yr old girl from Tempe, Arizona and selected a pre-written message! It was less than one minute to hit the send button! I will continue to send others with my own personal message everyday! Sometimes the smallest of gestures mean the most, won't you join me and other Active Rain members to wish our Troops a Happy Holiday!
Lets Say Thanks and
send a quick post card from you and your families! May I also personally challenge you to create a localism
post for your area! If you need this copy of this HTML, it's
all yours, I will email it to you!!
Jason - This copy is all yours!! I will adjust the name, contact info and email you the code. You just need to lay into your Active Rain editor in the HTML mode and hit submit to post!! Awesome!!
I LOVE your graphic! (And thanks for okaying others to use it. I did on my outside blog, www.FocusOnCrofton.com) Thanks for picking up the cause and running with it! We all have our own different spheres of influence, even here on ActiveRain, so I think it would be great if LOTS of us would do this.
Margaret- Awesome. I went to your outside blog and it looks wonderful. Just so you know I took the graphics from photobucket.com and if you are one to recognize them on your page, you now have the source. I love that sight!! I have now customized this post for two other members so I hope more continue!! Thanks for coming by.
Elizabeth - Enjoy and send back a link if I don't get by when you post yours! Have a great day.
Lisa- Thank you for spreading the word. Your email is in your in-box. It's all ready to go with your information at the bottom. Simply cut and paste the HTML code in your Active-Rain editor in the HTML mode and save as a draft, if you like what you see, post it public. Have fun!! Any questions, shoot me an email. thank you for stopping by and supporting our troops. And for your willingness to post a localism post on this website!
Missy - Awesome, join us with posting a localism post. I have sent out the modified HTML code individually to four others today. I will be happy to send it your way if you would use it! Thanks for sharing!!
Hi Alex - That is awesome! I hope to find someone willing to help me cover every state. Between Charles, Margaret and I so far the word is getting out! I think everyone should take the opportunity to take me up on the HTML code for a localism post. A quick and easy post (plus 200 points) and I'm willing to modify it with your very own contact information!! Spread the word via blogs, websites, outside blogs. A little gesture goes a LONG way!! God Bless!
Candace, how can I get in on this? I would like to do it for California. What do I do? I saw Jason's blog first and then came here. I had to do a double take to see if I was in the right place. I would like to help. Thanks!
Ernie- I will forward the code modified with your info to your email. Just simply cut and paste it for a localism post for your area! So glad you are willing. Expect it today. Have a wonderful Holiday.
Chris & Maria- Yes, I understand that this has been done before, I originally saw the request through Margaret who had it shared with her somewhere, I am just passing the request on as per her request. I hope others join in!! Thanks for stopping by and for sharing. Feel free to email me for the HTML code if you would like to put a localism post together for your area!
Cindy - I will be happy to share, you are more than welcome to post it here and your outside blog!! Expect an email. Happy Holidays! Thank you for helping the cause and getting the word out!
Hi Candace ~ Thanks for letting others know about this campaign. I already had posted it to localism for Oregon (with a different theme than yours and Jason's). I also have sent some cards to our heroes! Have a happy Christmas!
What a beautiful job you have done on your post here Candace. I already posted my Thank You and wish I would have seen yours prior. Would it be horrible to ask for the HTML for that beautiful fireplace seen to add to my blog?
Have a wonderful day my friend!
My graphic says "serviceberry" that's great for this post for sure.
Julie- Go for it!! Copy and paste away! It's from photobucket.com if you ever give kudos to that or not. *I didn't* but I don't have a problem sharing it* Btw, I saw yours and you did a very personal and endearing post for our Troops and represented Utah well.
Thank you Candace. You are such a sweetheart. Thank you for your incredible comment. I will get back over there to leave a response to the wonderful comments made.
Tracy - Actually I sent HTML to Jason, Tom, Ernie, Alecia, Cindy, Lisa, Desiree and Sandi. Several took the challenge and ran with it and created their own and others had already posted in previously somehow. The troops should be getting lots of cards I hope!!
Candace- You are SO giving with your time, patience, and technical "know-how." Active Rain is so lucky to have you as a contributor! I finally got mine posted... I hope you didn't think I blew it off-- I had a couple of files that kept me from "playing" the past few days! http://activerain.com/blogsview/291543/Let-s-Support-Our
Thank you so much for taking the time to help not only all of us, but those TROOPS! :)
Sandi - Thank you for kind words. Really, if I have it, it can be shared. I enjoy being able to give to others where I can. I saw your post and I love how you changed the background to green!! Great job and thank you for taking on the challenge and posting a localism in your area! You Rock!! Merry Christmas!
