Looking for an activity to do as a family this Saturday, February 25th, 2012? If you are, I have found two events for your family and you. The first event this Saturday is Kayak 101 at 12:00pm to 1:00pm at the Hertiage & Nature Center. The Kayak 101 class is for beginners who need the basic safety and equipment skills to become a professional. During the class, the instructor will show techniques such as paddle strokes along with other techniques. Don't worry if the weather is not in your favor, because the class will be moved to the Lake Club indoor swimming pool. The second event this Saturday will be held at 3:00pm to 4:30pm at the Heritage & Nature Center. This event will be Reynolds' Adventurers Bird Program. Want to watch the birds that make their homes at Lake Oconee? This event costs $5.00 per child, but it's worth it! Your family will learn information about the birds such as feeding and nesting habits. Look at the weather in advance and dress upon the weather.
