Thomas Pandolfi presents All-Liszt Piano Recital at Sandy Spring Museum, Sandy Spring, MD
Treat yourselves to a memorable afternoon, Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Sandy Spring Museum, when pianist Thomas Pandolfi takes us on a musical tour of piano compositions in honor of the 200th anniversary year of the birth of Franz Liszt. The performance begins at 3pm.
Liszt's music is legendary for its high level of technical demands on pianists, and Pandolfi's program will include some of the most important and dazzling music ever written for the keyboard. Pandolfi earned the following accolade in a performance of Liszt's Second Concerto with the Asheville Symphony: "His virtuosity and strength might have had some believing that Liszt himself had taken over the keyboard."
With each passing season, Pandolfi is becoming more and more sought after by audiences worldwide. A graduate of theJuilliardSchool, he has garnered critical acclaim in performances in Europe,Canada,China, and throughout theUnited States. He has been described by The Washington Post as "an artist who is master of both the grand gesture and the sensual line."
