Fellow Activerainers- Please do not get this company confused with Hud.gov. These people are using the similarity of their name to get your attention.

If you work for this ushud.com Please do not contact me again. I have now recieved 7 calls from your orginization and I still don't want to buy your leads. Although I think it is great that you were able to find me, I work from referrals.

Unsolicited contacts from lead sellers has become a nearly daily event. Annoying, but I just say NO.

Dawn- I don't think we will ever be safe.

Matt-These people only see that we do mortgages. They have no idea if we are good at what we do or not. I asked him how he found me and he said AR.

Rey- Thanks for the heads up today. It is very much appreciated. If they are calling you too, you must be doing something right.

Hey Shaun,

I just put you up on the do not call list so you should stop getting calls. My apologies, just doing business and I agree with you whole heartedly on the annoyance of multiple calls. A simple, polite " No Thanks" is enough for me to get the hint, lol.

Josh,

I realize that people have to work and Active Rain is a great resource for potential clients. It just bothered me that so many people in your company would be callling the same people and offering exclusive leads. Good luck with your work and thatks for ading me to your Do Not Call List.

My only suggestion to anyone,

talk to someone who has tried it, or at least research it a little bit if you want. I come on AR and see negative comments from people who are posting their opinions having never researched nor tried it. Then I come into work and talk with clients all day who are closing a couple deals a month. It really baffles me sometimes, how people who haven't even looked into something can have their opinion considered credible. If someone doesn't want to look into it, they just say no and we will readily add them to a do not call list. Others try it and are very successful. Some try it, and are not very successful. My point, why not base your opinion on an informed source or personal research? Or go with the mob, do not ask questions, accept everything you read as a solid truth. It's just business and the fact of the matter is, the company has been running for 9 years and we always have somewhere between 4,000 and 5,000 agents and lenders signed on with us monthly. People close deals and thats why they remain online. I guess it boils down to who is a more credible source. Someone who works with us and has real world experience. Or someone who is just tired of cold calls and cranky with businesses that make cold calls. A well informed decision is the best kind.

Josh- My post doesn't say that the product you sell doesn't work or that you are not a credible company. But it is very misleading to use a name that could be easily be confused with a government agency. The reason that I posted this information about your company is to let my colleagues know that employees from your company are contacting people from active rain to try to sell your leads and even though I have told your company that I am not interested in your service , I have received more than 7 calls from different people from your company wanting to sell me exclusive leads in my area. It seems that either your do not call list doesn't work or you just don't care.

Hey Shaun,

I do appreciate you letting me know you were contacted  again. I can't really help if I don't know these things. I am one point of contact here that does read your blogs, comments, etc and I did put your information on a no contact list. Which I will happily check up on and push back through if there was a mistake. I certainly understand your opinion,  and respect it. Please let me know if you are contacted again so I can correct the issue. Via e mail preferably. Thanks Shaun, hope all is well down there.

USHUD.com is one of 4 national websites that feature foreclosure listings. The websites are USHUD, HUDExchange, AllHUD and individual state sites. Each site is marketed differently on Google, MSN and Yahoo.

The company was started 9 years ago in Maryland by a real estate agent. The websites derive their names from the start when the company marketed HUD properties only. In order to expand as a company, new websites were established as time went on and now the sites have Bank owned properties, listings from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and of course the HUD homes.

Some sites (HUDExchange and AllHUD) feature FSBO's as well. Even if you aren't looking for marketing, it is a good free source to look at properties. Hope this was helpful, thanks!
