Luxury Real Estate Marketing: The Luxury of a Spring Bouquet

alstroemeria and irises

We enjoy having flowers in our office.  As Spring approaches the growing flower fields and greenhouses of Santa Barbara county are producing wonderful flowers for our delight. It is also a welcome place to rest our eyes after concentrating on computer work.

This bouquet is comprised of alstroemeria, aka, the Peruvian Lily, and irises which remind s us of  Van Gogh's painting of Irises.  In 1990, this painting was one of the most expensive ones sold to J.Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.  If you find yourself in Los Angeles, seeing this painting is well worth the trip to see the painting and the museum.

Happy Wednesday, Cheers, Ron & Alexandra

Very nice Alexandra. I love the rich colors of the Iris blooms. In a previous home, I had a huge collection of Iris bulbs and they were a spring show in themselves. Enjoy your day and your beautiful bouquet.

Alexandra we too enjoy fresh cut flowers in our home AKA home office.  We normally keep a fresh vase of natures beauty out year around.  It's the simple things that seem to bring such pleasure.

I love irises ... the colors and delicate construction .. they always remind me of orchids ... only "sturdier".  Love the colors in this photo - thanks for sharing!

A,

Hadn't stop by in a while! Wow gorgeous, Van Gogh is one of my favorite painters. I was lucky enough to see the exhibit when I was in traveling abroad. I will definitely have to keep the museum in mind in LA in mind. Thanks for the sharing the info on the painting. I hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks all you flower lovers for stopping by and commenting.  Luxury for us is having flowers around us, and Roy, I agree that life is better when you have flowers to photograph, they last longer.

Don, I love and need that burst of color joy throughout the day, we generally keep a positive tone around here, and the flowers add to that.

Debb, our home in Napa had two large beds of white irises that kept multiplying themselves and creating this amazing white border, I know what you mean.

John as we grow wiser and age like fine wine, we find that all the stuff that one can buy is nowhere near as great as having flowers in one's office and in one's great room.  When we lived in Los Angeles, I planted over 150 rose bushes which I pruned myself, and when they bloomed, we would run out of vases, and there were flowers in every room of the house including the laundry room, and the patio.

Rebecca, those colors work so well together, nature's paint box is amazing.

Patty, you are welcome vibrant colors are in for this year, the brighter the better.

Judith, great analogy, I did not seen the similarity to orchids until you pointed it out, and I love orchids.

Toni, flowers and friends like do brighten the day.

Silvia, So happy I inspired you to buy yourself some flowers, I know you deserve them.

DeeDee, I feel so fortunate to have seen with Ron so many of Van Gogh's paintings.

Yolanda,  Me too, and we saw a lot of his works in France.  Thanks for dropping by
