organNow get your mind out of the gutter. A past client called and asked if Robin would like to have this antique 1870 era organ. The leather airbags are shot and need to be restored along with a few minor pedal repairs. I think that I will have the work done even though niether one of us can carry a tune at least we could make more noise than the grandchildren when they visit. To make it work you have to pedal and squeeze the kneeknockers while playing the keys. I already know its too complicated for me. Besides now I need to bring it home and it weighs a ton. Happy Selling, Keith

Whew, I'm glad to see THIS picture.  I once dropped a piano off of a pick-up truck when rounding a corner.  Be careful.

I take it you like taking on big projects. I hope the moving part of it goes well for you. It does look fairly heavy.

Hi Keith & Robin,
Looks like a beautiful organ and what a conversation piece.  Bet the grandkids will love it.  Do you know if there is someone in the area to make the repairs?

Dan, Ill get some help to where all I do is point :)

Gary, I have been collecting old stuff for years, think I would learn by now.

Hi Cynthia, I have several antique dealer pals that are my go to guys on this kind of stuff. I really want to fix it because it hasent been in working condition in years.

um,   my mind wasn't in the gutter. I thought this was going to be a post about your heart transplant.  But this is actually better....  since the recovery time is shorter and you won't need to take anti-rejection drugs.

THat's a cool looking organ. Let us know when you have it restored. I have fond memories of playing an old upright player piano at my grandparent's house. Neither of them could play, but the grandkids all had hours of fun and lasting memories!

Keith,

I love antiques. Every-time my wife and I stop to look at antiques my youngest daughter freaks out - she hates it. I think that the antique organ is beautiful and would make a great addition to any home. Especially a Southern Home. Good find- good luck.
