I was driving home the other day and I started seeing a couple signs that read home for Auction. I live in the California Bay Area and there has been a slow down in the market in the last 6 months or so. I've seen houses go on the market and just sit there. My next door neighbor being one of them. They moved out in June and it still sits empty although they pulled down the sign so they must have something else in mind. The reason some of these homes are sitting on the market are because of the huge Builder Incentives that are going on right now.

I ended up driving right by the home for Auction and realized it was one that I have seen on the market for probably 9 months now. Not only was there a Home Auction sign on the grass but a big cardboard sign that said HELP ME !!! MAKE ME A OFFER. Has anyone else seen this and is the forclosure rate going back up.
