Hi Vince:

Welcome...and Shaun is right.  Do not make it all business all the time.  ZZZZZZZZZ

Talk about the coaching situation at UM; the Tigers - how often you go over the bridge to Windsor ( I hear it is now cheaper to shop locally.)  My husband travels to Ann Arbor every other month or so - he tells me your area is the affluent side of the tracks --- homes selling?

Hi Peg, Looks like the L.S.U. coach (Les Miles) will probably get the U.Of M. job. He is a U.of M. grad, played under Bo Schembechler, really likes the Michigan program, seems to be a Wolverine through and through. That is the consensus around here. Both of my parents were born and raised on farms in Ontario, Canada. I spent a great deal of time there growing up, went to high school in Windsor. We get over there three four times a year. We also travel either the Detroit Windsor tunnel or The Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron in addition to The Ambassador Bridge. It is now much less expensive to shop in Metro Detroit with the dollar down. The tables have turned and the Canadian retailers are quite unhappy about it. They have had the upper hand for near thirty years. Homes are selling,,,just not as many as we would like. Prices are down somewhat. Accurate pricing, and condition are of paramount importance. That holds true of course in any market but is of particular importance now. Our son and daughter in law moved to Lynchburg Va. in June. Forgive my geographic handicap. Is Lynchburg in your market area? I really appreciate the advice! Thank You, Vince Brennan

Hi Dan, Indeed. I have been exploring the real estate market in Second Life. It is very interesting. I have struck up conversations with several people or should I say "avalars". I will need to take the training corse available to "newbies". Any suggestions?

Hi Vince:

I did see your response - I missed a couple of days and now catching up.

Thanks!

Hello Vince;

 Training suggestions for Second Life?  Yes, it does take awhile to get use to.   The best advice I can give is patience, practice, practice.  There are plenty of decent tutorials.  Start with the SL wiki videos http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Video_Tutorials and please check out Anshe Chung's Real Estate offerings at http://dreamland.anshechung.com/

Good Luck!

Hello Vince;

How are the upcoming elections going to effect home sales in Farmington Hills this year?

Good luck with the Second Life venture!  You should update your "About Vince" page.

Hi Dan, It appears that regionally residential sales will continue to be anemic for the next year or so. As far as the presidential election goes I am guardedly optimistic that whomever is elected will do everything he or she can do to bolster the residential real estate market. A vibrant real estate market is in the public good. Here in Farm. Hills we will be electing a new city council person on August 5th. to replace our new mayor's vacated position on the council. I am of the opinion that the people running our city are doing an incredibly good job overall in spite of the challenges facing them. One thing is very clear however; all of our local elected officials from the state down to city and township level need to concentrate on reducing all excessive regional taxes, (particularly property taxes) fees, assessments etc., stimulate/encourage entrepreneurial philosophies. On the positive side, between these low prices and attractive mortgage financing it is much easier for a lot of people to stay or move here. A great time of opportunity! What are your thoughts?

Hi Sean, Thank you for bringing this to my attention. The problem has been corrected. Some people were able to reach the site at "about Vince" and some were not. The company tells me everyone should be able to get the  "about Vince" information. Would you please check from your computer and verify that for Me? Thank you.
