Like most people out there I am spending a lot of time and energy to try and get my website ranking a bit higher.  I am relatively to SEO work but know the importance of links, unique content, etc.  I've been reading as much as I can about back links.  I want to try and stay away from recriprocal links which seems are the easiest and most available out there.  I am curious to see if other people have found some good websites to list their websites that don't require recriprical links and are also indexed by google, etc.  If anyone can recommend any good sites that would be great!

Hi Kari,

We JUST added a free Real Estate Directory on our website. No recip link is required. We are indexed with all the major search engines and are getting great search engine rankings for our key terms/phrases.

You may consider putting a links page on your website. Search engines like to see both quality incoming and outgoing links. It does not have to be a prominent page.

I know what you mean.  In my readings I keep seeing how low-quality links hurt a lot!  I went ahead and paid to get on Joe Ant and Real Estate Directory.  It cost me $40 for both but they have good page rank and both sites have a good reputation.
