I am having a very busy week. It's of my own making because I am a procrastinator. I'm likely the worst procrastinator you know. Yesterday I worked late and today too. It will be very hard for me to work late the next three days because they are MY "doggie days" because my Donald will be working. But yesterday and today were he was off and I'm so thankful that he did SO much for me.
There was the laundry, the fresh linens on the bed and the dinner ready when I walked in to door from work. And of course there was blowing the leaves off the porch, cleaning out the dishwasher, and the running to the office to go to the bank for me today so that I could stay on task and finish up what I needed to get done today. I have about 3 or 4 more days of nose to then grind, but I got a really good start because my Donald is always willing to do what I need him to to help me at work.
I used to have a copy of this photograph in a frame, but that frame got knocked off and broken... by that cute little puppy who now is a gianormous 160 pound Great Dane. And today when I was thinking about how lucky I am and how sweet my Donald is I was missing this photograph. So I decided to look it up and get it printed again and buy a new frame. It might be the end of next week before I get it done (task at hand and all). I'm now looking across the room to the "thing" on the desk. I really should be working on the "thing" and not writing about what a lucky girl I am. But look at him, those kind eyes and the sweet hold on our little puppy. That photo was take tn March 24, 2008 just two days before we brought that little guy home.
I'm ever so thankful that both these guys are in my life. As you see from a photo I took on my phone just a couple of days ago that little puppy still loves his daddy to hold him. It is a little harder these days though. I'm very thankful that my Donald talked me into a puppy. I was a confirmed "cat lady" before Glen arrived. Of course God had other plans... because just three months after we got Glen and little black lab puppy showed up on the door step of my office and Glen got a sister... Laney. I feel very thankful for all I have in my life. I think that tomorrow when he gets home from work... I'll have dinner waiting and he'll know how thankful I am.
