Walking in the Sand….at the Beach
When I go to the beach, I think about many things in my past. First of all, I think of "The Beach Boys" and "Jan and Dean". They sung all those beach songs and then there were the beach movies with Annette Funicello, Sandra Dee, and Frankie Avalon. Oh, they were so much fun to watch and when we would go to the beach, we felt like we were part of that lifestyle...how fun to be young. Of course we cannot forget Elvis Presley and Ann Margaret with the Hawaii movies.
So many of us grew up with these memories and later were the re-runs and videos so the younger crowd remembers them too. I liked these movies because the movie always ended nicely in the end, the good guy won and the bad guy lost.
Then my daughter started playing volleyball and we would go and watch her play beach volleyball for fun to strengthen her skills for club. Just going to the beach is fun for everyone; laying in the sun, swimming, bikingplaying in the sand, surfing, eating and shopping.
Of course, now when I go to the beach, I just adore taking pictures so I see the beach in a new light as there are so many birds and not enough time.
One of my favorite things to do at the beach is to take off my shoes, roll up my jeans and walk in the sand. Get my feet wet when the tide comes in and dig my toes into the sand.
Walking in the sand is so much fun and remembering all those great memories as well.
