(A fun poem for the Real-estate Professional)

To be or not to be a Real-estate agent I ask of thee.

I work a job from 9-5, I wonder how to make it by.

My financial goals are not to high, but still my bank account is dry.Image Ref: 04-17-1 - Credit Cards, Viewed 2516 times

I ponder in my daily life, could a side job as an agent make it right.

Extra income, oh let it be, what do you mean there's extra fees?

You really mean I'm on floor time, my kids in basketball, tip off's at nine.

Now I'm asked to do an open house, last time I did, it was just me and a mouse.Image Ref: 04-04-16 - Laptop Computer, Viewed 2727 times

My family time, where did it go, I'm off to show the 20th home to Jane Doe.

The wife has filed for divorce, with no together time, we see each other in court.

That additional income I hoped to gain, has me thinking I'm insane.

As I sit all by myself, the job ads read "Mall needs Santa's elf".

I contact the mall and talk to the bookie, my bonus will be free Christmas cookies.Image Ref: 90-04-4 - Food for Santa, Viewed 2852 times

Now with a third job to make ends meet, I'll be wearing my real-estate name tag but green shoes on my feet.

My thoughts to hit Santa up to list the North Pole, he told me he decided to go FSBO.Image Ref: 90-02-75 - Christmas Lights, Viewed 1180 times

I can't seem to win in life these days, and real-estate doesn't seem to pay.

It's back to the drawing board for me, To be or not to be, a Real Estate Agent I ask of thee?

One of the best times to be in the business. Sellers really need us and agents with a strong marketing plan will be successful.

Hmm...how do I make my reply ryme? I wont even try. You can make it if you give it all you've got!

Terry, I agree, if the new agent goes full time at it. See a lot of part timers out there with the thought of extra income coming in.

Chris & Maria, LOL on making your comment rhyme. I wrote it more as fun for the person contemplating a part time venture into real-estate. It takes a bit more time and energy as most think.

Sorry if I was misleading on the first post before I edited the post and add a "Fun poem for the real estate professional"

These are the times that the agents are weeded out.  Those that work hard at it will succeed.

Lola, thanks for stopping by, had to put my thinking cap on as poetry has never been a top priority for me. Grin.
