Are you an agent of change?

Life events often force re-birth, a re-evaluation of ourselves and the way we see and do things. In order for things to get better, we must continually practice the art of change; train ourselves to seek and welcome it. Despite temporary growing pains that result, keep your eyes on opportunities for growth.

In the last half of 2011, I heard from lots of people who decided 2012 was going to be different for them. I think people were feeling too comfortable and complacent in life thinking to themselves "How much longer is it going to be before I finally get the point, quit floundering around in the same spot and choose something different?"

Some people just felt tired of doing everything the same old way, tired of playing all the games that people play. For these people to change their perception has to change because until they learn to THINK differently, they won't be able to DO differently.

If your life isn't working and the shoe no longer fits - change course.

Decide what it is in life you most want and make it happen. Life is not a dress rehearsal! This is IT. It is easier accepting things as they are, know when change is necessary in order to move forward, grow and achieve success and happiness. So often (as I'm sure everyone can relate) - it isn't about waiting on someone else to DO something - it's up to us to take the next step!

Change doesn't mean giving up... it means moving on. It is one of the hardest things a person can do. Starting at birth, we grasp onto anything we can get our hands on, and hold on as if we will cease to exist when we let go. We feel that letting go is giving up, quitting, and that as we all know is cowardly. But as we grow older we are forced to change our way of thinking. We are forced to realize that letting go means accepting things that cannot be. It means maturing and moving on, no matter how hard you have to fight yourself to do so.

Thought for today: "You are responsible for your life. You can't keep blaming somebody else for your dysfunction. Life is really about moving on."--- Oprah Winfrey

Have a day full of positive change and a productive weekend.

“The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.” – Nolan Bushnell
