With snowbird season just around the corner, many potential home sellers are debating whether to wait until after the holiday season has passed to list their homes. So much time is devoted to friends and family at this time of year. Do homes sell during the holiday season?

Unquestionably yes. Additionally this time of year we see an influx of extended family visiting the area, some for the first time. They are also potential serious homebuyers.  Making the decision to locate to this area's paradise happens quite often this time every year. Sure, the market does see a slowdown as the actual holiday comes closer, but you are much better off being on the market at this time of year. Go ahead and decorate as you normally do. It makes for a festive showing and potential buyers can imagine their own future holidays in your home. Showings, of course, are scheduled so as not to inconvenience your family's celebrations, parties and festivities.

In past years, we have received calls on Christmas Eve or day from agents showing properties or potential buyers, but not many. However, the days after and so on, our phone calls seem to pick up with all the extended family visiting. Sellers, at this time of year, it is OK to say no to a showing if it would interfere with your festivities. Nevertheless, we do not like to miss any opportunity to show your home. Without a doubt, do not wait to list your home.

Our local market conditions continue to be a challenge for sellers and a winter wonderland for homebuyers.  We are an Assist-2-Sell franchise that is excited about the Assist-2-Sell Programs for home sellers. Give us a call at 239-656-4573 or view our website at http://wesellswfla.com/ or go to http://assist2sell.com/  for more information on our franchise's history, philosophy, and our simple programs.

This month's tip is, if you are shopping for a real estate company to sell your most valuable possession, you should never have to pay anything UPFRONT. Ask yourself this question. If I give them this money upfront what is their incentive to sell my home? They have already been paid.

We, at Assist-2-Sell Sellers and Buyers Advantage Realty, are paid at closing and never ask for upfront fees or charges. No results, no money, it is that simple. And remember our franchise's slogan "Full Service with $AVINGS". We use the latest marketing tools and techniques that are successful in selling property. In addition, we take care of everything. From the real estate sign first going into the ground, until we meet at the closing table to sign documents and everything in between we are in charge. Someone is available everyday to answer your concerns as well as show your home.

That old adage applies to real estate too. If it sounds too good to be true....

Except, that is, for potential homebuyers. Yes, it is too good to be true. Home prices and stable interest rates combined with a record breaking home, lots and land, and condominium inventory make this a special, maybe once in a lifetime, opportunity if you are buying in the greater Fort Myers, Florida area. Assist-2-Sell Sellers and Buyers Advantage Realty have full time agents to help you find that dream home on your schedule, whether it is after work or weekends. It is still not too late to have your Christmas in a new home if you buy in early December. However, do not wait too much longer.

From our extended family, here at Assist-2-Sell Sellers and Buyers Advantage Realty we wish you all a safe and happy holiday season. Keep our young men and women defending us around the world in your thoughts and prayers.
