2 Comments on Understanding Water Wells in Athol, MA
Water wells are very common here in East Tennessee. Water quality is for the most part very good but I have heard over and over if you get the water tested make sure the address you attach to the water sample is one where public sources of water are not available. I don't know how true this is but I have never had my water tested. I have a well that supplies water to my geothermal heat and air system. Not totally in compliance with the rules on this one. I do not send the used water back into the ground but instead have a very large pond. It does soak back into the ground at it's own will. All the woodland creatures drink this pond water and none of them have died from it. Perhaps you should encourage folks in your neck of the woods to think that ground water is not just for drinking.
WELL done...pun intended. Informative and good to know data for the area residents....
