Quiet Before the Storm

Hello all just wanted to post a few observations;

1. Daily News about pulling out of Iraq and us losing over there ? What happened ? Where is the politically correct ? Did we win ?

2. Daily barage of doomsday news about Real Estate, Don't get me wrong but I just do not see the constant barrage of news lately. Any thoughts on this phenomenau ( did I spell it right ? ).

3. Title Companies, Lenders keep coming in and telling us "The buyers are returning". Still quiet on the western front, How is it in your neighborhood ?

4. We and rainy here in Southern Calif. ( breaks out into the same song you know "it never rains in....). Hows the weather in your neck of the woods.

So are we just in a lull before the storm. Early Primaries that may skew the political process got you down ? What's up America ? Or are we just settling down to have a WONDERFUL AND MERRY CHRISTMAS ? Devoid of the usual distractions and onslaught we have been hit with so far this year.

Your feelings on these or other issues would be appreciated.....

1)  Iraq is still to hot a topic up here, I have my own opinions, but they are better off kept to myself!  ;)

2)  It does seem that at least in some areas that the storm is breaking, it's a ways off up here though, we still have the second highest foreclosure rate in the country, second only to Stockton!

3)  It seems so odd to me that builders are still in business up here, there is far more inventory than buyers, but who knows?  It seems as if when the turn around happens, it happens mighty fast!

4)  Up here in Northern CA we've been enjoying very seasonal weather, but send us that rain will you?  The farmers are about ready to do a rain dance!

Other than that, things are relatively peaceful up here, at least better than Rochester NH was this morning!  Hopefully we'll see some of that turn-around up here soon!

1 & 2:  The media is just a doom and gloom thing all the time.  Must come from that great majority who likes to watch that stuff.  If it bleeds it leads mentality.

3.  I'm not seeing much of a slow down.  I know it's there a bit, but I'm such a small percentage of the inspection market that I just keep plugging along.

4.  Cold and icy.  Wishing I could stay in today but gotta leave soon for an inspection.
