Lately I've noticed a couple of blogs that seem to be, lets just say, less than complimentary about  others on the site. As in any situation with this many members there are going to be disagreements . There are also going to be people that are less than honorable. But then there are others who make up for it.

To those of you who read my blog know about probably 90% of my life give or take. Most of you also know how I feel about most things. Well I feel blessed to be a part of active rain and I was blessed a little xtra today. Without rehashing the whole story I,ll just say I have a daughter who is not quite 19 who just had her second child. This has been spoken about in a few blogs and I have received tons of encouragement.

Well today I was in my office when the mail came. I saw a letter addressed to me from one of my closest active rain buddies. Now let me just say , we have never met or even talked on the phone before today but we surely have bonded. Well they(I,m trying not to give away gender) wrote me a nice note saying they hoped everything was going well, said that they have been praying for me daily and sent me a $100.00 CHECK for my daughter and the new baby.

Beyond a doubt this was the NICEST thing anyone has ever done for me and I could barely, make that I couldn,t hold back the tears. Neither could my wife.To top things off when I gave it to my daughter and tried to explain where it came from it gave me an excellent reason to witness to her.

She even agreed when I suggestred she take $10 of it and use it to buy a gift to donate to a needy child.

I,d just like to say that in my book, one person like this makes up for 1,000 that you may not care for.

GOD BLESS YOU

I assumed you wouldn,t want me to use your name, although I,d really love to I know this way is better. I Know My wife and daughter know and the Lord Knows.

Hi Hugh -- we just read about the Hamburg miracle.  What a blessing.  I just mentioned this to you in response to your comment: you sow; you reap, and those in your household are the benefactors as well.  God proves the word through our behavior!

Hi Hugh,

Terrific story of giving, sharing and blessing others.

The even better thing is that the money that we receive is never ours.  We are blessed that God gives us skills, talents and abilities to help folks buy and sell.  He gives us the the money to use and the more we give to others, the more he gives us to spread around.  Someday we'll be able to give every dollar to help others, because where we are going we won't need to keep any in our pockets.  We are merely a pass through for God's blessings (money, love, health) and we just pass it through to others.   And, it is great your daughter saw the effect of giving her 10% to someone else too.

List and Sell (graciously giving too)   Gary

Hugh great story, as I say often this is an amazing group that is filled with massive amounts of love, not just for each other, but for those we serve as well. It all flows from their knowledge of God and what he has done for us. God bless and enjoy your children and grand children. Even when they don't live as we wish they would, we know that as God continues loving us we are just called to continue loving them as well. She will see the grace and eventually it will overwhelm her and she will accept his gift for her.

God bless. Thanks for sharing and being transparent.
