We have had an Army and Air Force Exchange System (AAFES) gift card in our possession for the last three years. We haven't been back to an AAFES store since we got the gift card at Fort Leavenworth, KS, just before our move back to Bremerton, Washington, a navy town.
Well, we may be able to use it now! Military exchanges have agreed to honor and accept each others gift cards, regardless of the store's service affiliation. Army and Air Force Exchange System gift cards, Navy exchange gift cards, and Marine Corps exchange gift cards can be used at any military exchange in the world.
The exchange system has finally recognized that flexibility is an important component of a happy military family's life! For more information about the military exchanges, see http://www.aafes.com/ or http://www.navy-nex.com/.
For all your real estate needs, think of Realty Station first. Not the biggest, just the best!

It's about darned time!! I could never understand with the nature of the military members moving so often that the gift cards couldn't be used at all the camps or base exchanges.
Kris, I agree! They just enacted the initiative this month, so I'm afraid our gift card from 2 1/2 years ago may have expired. It's worth a whole $6 and change!

Here you will find my thoughts and insights into the real estate market in general, as well as tips for Sellers, Buyers, current Homeowners and other real estate agents. Many of the market updates will apply specifically to Kitsap County, in other words, Silverdale, Bremerton, Poulsbo, Port Orchard, Kingston, and all areas in between. Many of the trends seen in Kitsap will overflow to surrounding cities, such as Gig Harbor, Belfair, Allyn, and even Bainbridge Island. I hope you will find this blog helpful and useful.
