With the holiday season upon us and all the holiday music surrounding us, I just couldn't help but turn to thinking about blogging. Is there anything else?

So here's my contribution to the repertoire. Sing slowly and soulfully to the tune of The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire).  Feel free to use the fantastic video above to pace yourself.

My points growing to a tidy sum,
Neal Bloom nipping at my toes,
All the bloggers trying to get to page one,
And boy, the race is really close.

Everybody knows a page one ranking's what we see,
And we won't stop until we're there.
Tiny slits where our eyes used to be,
And blogging in our underwear.

The other bloggers on our tails;
They've loaded lots of posts and listings on their blog.
And every point they earn makes us realize,
That we can't stop now, not if we want the prize.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To bloggers, one to ninety-two,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
Try to catch me, yeah you.
