It's been cool and rainy in Arizona (and I understand in California, as well) over the past couple of days. I moved to Tucson for the sun, so I usually do a bit of complaining when the day dawns grey! But twice I have talked with people who have said, "Isn't it nice to have the rain and an excuse to stay in and snuggle for warmth?"

And, I realize, rain in the desrt is a GOOD thing! Rain in California probably is too! And as my husband pointed out yesterday, "We are lucky. No one is shooting at us!"

I hope your day is as nice as mine, regardless of the weather!!!! I feel truly blessed and will not snivel about the rain!

Joeann - I love the rain. I believe we received more rain yesterday than we have in 8 months in the valley! I had my doors open all day and night. Did you notice how warm it was with the cloud cover the last few days? It's tough to think about snuggling around a fireplace and a good book on days like yesterday in Arizona, but I would in a heart beat if given I had the fireplace!! I'm truly blessed too! GBY!

Joeann,

Only based on what I have heard...when that happens don't flowers begin to bloom in the desert...that would be awesome to witness!!! Thanks,   Fran

Hi Joeann,

I hope Arizona gets enough rain to help Lake Mead!  I have a rental house by Meadview, AZ and have been watching as the lake has been steadily gone down for several years.

JoeAnn, Guess we need both sunshine and clouds.  If it makes you feel any better, it's dreary looking here in Texas today as well.  I love it when you said 'at least no one is shooting at us.."  .....that IS true.

Joeanne,

We moved back to Washington state from South Dakota 4 years ago.  My husband promised me it NEVER snows at the Ocean!!  Guess what?  It is snowing today!  Nothing that will stick.  It is so beautiful.  We live near a rain forest and with our rain comes pretty yards, woods and environment!  We are so lucky to live in such a gorgeous area of the US!

Happy Selling,

Joeann, until a real "mad scientist" creates a weather machine, there's little that we can do about it.  However, we can adjust our attitudes about the weather and decide how we want to spend our days, come rain or shine.

Joeann- I missed the California rain, but had a good dose of it in Hawaii......here was something that my daughter found while over there and kept telling the kids when they complained about the rain.........
