As a former resident of Great Neck Terrace, I am very familiar with the community. Great Neck Terrace is the largest co-op in Nassau County. It is comprised of 28 buildings, 654 apartments and on over 35 acres of land.
The complex has amenities such as a community room, sitting parks, a children's playground, basketball court, volleyball court, children's pool and a gorgeous Olympic size swimming pool.
Great Neck Terrace is a community within a community. Neighbors really get to know each other. In the summer time there are many events and activities at Great Neck Terrace. In recent summer's there have been breakfasts and parties by the pool. They also had children's activities and games. They even organized a volleyball league that played every Tuesday and Thursday evening.
Great Neck Terrace is located in Great Neck and is part of the school district, park district, library system and much more. However, it is walking distance to the Little Neck train station. The Little Neck train station is on the Port Washington train line and not only one stop closer to Manhattan but one zone closer. This results in a substantial saving on the monthly train pass.
