The Wilmington NC area is in full Holiday swing this week with a variety of  activities for all ages. From Black Tie "Fur Balls" to Flotillas on the beach, there is sure to be something fun to fill you with the spirit of the season.

ISLAND OF LIGHTS HOLIDAY FLOTILLA,  Last Saturday we were treated to the Wrightsville Beach Flotilla this weekend it's Carolina Beach's time to shine.  Decorated in Glittering lights, boats of all sizes and shapes will cruise down Intracoastal Waterway from Snows Cut to Carolina Beach Boat basin and back.

2ND ANNUAL WILMINGTON FUR BALL,  On the heels of last years huge success this year Fur Ball is completely sold out! 360 Degrees will provide dancing music, hors d'oeuvres, auctions and more at this black tie, red carpet, fund raising gala for Pender County Humane Society and Adopt an Angel  This years event will be held at Thalian Hall in Historic Downtown Wilmington.

HOLIDAY CONCERT, TCHAIKOVSKY'S NUTCRACKER, This is the first performance of the Nutcracker accompanied by a live orchestra! Saturday & Sunday at 8pm.  Wilmington Symphony Orchestra with Wilmington School of Ballet and Wilmington Ballet Company. UNCW's Keenan Auditorium.

25TH ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF TREES,  runs through December 2nd at the Coast Line Convention Center. 

OLD WILMINGTON BY CANDLELIGHT, Saturday & Sunday in Historic Downtown Wilmington.  Featuring tours of the historic downtown Wilmington district.  Paths marked with luminaries and lamplighters will stroll the streets with light and information. 

POPLAR GROVE PlANTATION  hosts Christmas Open House Dec. 2 -On the north side of Wilmington just before Porters Neck. Visit this lovely historic Plantation Home decked out for the holidays.  Shop for crafts, ornaments, specialty gifts can be found at the festival. This years theme is Victorian Christmas" Manor House. Step back in time blacksmith and weaving demonstrations, farm animals. Yuletide Punch and cookies will be served.
