First let me say that I am somewhat biased here. I live in the China Spring area of TX where my daughter attends China Spring High School and dances for the China Spring Electric Blues Dance Team.  We are a small, but fast growing community in the North West part of town.

We have a lot of excitement in our area about our 3A High School Football Teams in the Playoffs.

Last night our China Spring Cougars played at Kyle Field in College Station fighting for the Regional SemiFinal Title. It was a great game where the Cougars seemed to easily overtake the Kirbyville Wildcats finishing the game at 35-14. What an exciting experience.

As the China Spring Cougars progress towards State Title, they are matched up with a local rival, La Vega Pirates. Although I am naturally biased towards China Spring, I am so excited that our Waco area has two great teams pushing towards State. I am totally impressed with our local 3A teams.

Wacoans, come support your favorite team this Saturday at Floyd Casey Stadium (Baylor) at 1 PM as La Vega and China Spring battle it out for the Regional Title. It should be a great game and a good time for all.

UPDATE: China Spring High School Cougars Football Team did win against local rival La Vega after a very hard fought and thrilling game. It was a shame that both teams could not move on towards State.

China Spring went on to win their way to the State Championship with a heartbreaking loss to Celina. Congratulation to Celina and CONGRATULATIONS TO CHINA SPRING COUGARS FOR AN AWESOME SEASON!

If you are not familiar with Texas Football or athletics overall for that matter, and are moving this way, you are in for a real treat. We have some fantastic and exciting athletic programs in this area with teams consistently making it to playoffs and winning State Titles. Enjoy.

Wendy, blessed is right!  Many people have only heard of what football and friday nights are like when you live in Texas!  I'm in Marble Falls, and the town seems to shut down when we play at home.  The stands are filled with excitement and the people stand shoulder to shoulder as you pass throught the crowd of unseated people.  Good luck this weekend and keep the spirit alive!!!
