If you have packed your bags and are ready to leave the profession after all the soul searching you can possibly do.....don't kick yourself.  If want you have learned is that you tried real estate...timing was not great and you paid more out that you took in....that it was not what you imagined with eternally grateful buyers and sellers who thank you endlessly for fulfilling their dreams....that you have been in the business a zillion years and you just don't want to work that hard anymore.  Whatever the reason, you learned something...if all you learned was that it wasn't for you, you learned something.

Make the most of your license....if you are in Wisconsin call us...if you are elsewhere, find some successful agents that you like...like as people and like the way they do business...and be their referral source.  It will take the sting out of the E& O insurance, dues to MLS, state association and NAR....and you may even find it to be easier to be someone else's advocate that it was for you to be your own.

What a great idea for a post. I'm happy to work referral business with other area of the country. I'm active and full time, but I'm going to think about asking for our local business when it comes to local DC/VA agents retiring.

Thanks!

Thanks for the offer.  They are going to have drag me away kicking and screaming.  It is better to burn out than to fade away!!! - Connor MacIVOR

A very clever, well-written post!  There is opportunity in this market, even for agents who have become frustrated and disillusioned.

I too like the idea.  I would welcome a working relationship with any Maryland agent that wants just a referral business.  I've been licensed since 1991...shoot me an email if I can be of service kyc@mris.com
