I have bought doggie cookies for sellers who have dogs.I will try this recipe.

Melissa-this is wonderful.  I have a couple of these canine cuties and my little girl would probably have a blast making these for them. I'll bet Santa's reindeer would love these too. :)

I just bought a new dog shaped cookie cutter for these today.Now I can do puppies and bones. :) Hope you guys have as much fun making these as I will!

Lol this is a great place just no place to eat. At this point the doggie cookie sound good.

Melissa, That sounds like it would be fun to make, I wonder if our Bella would like it as much as store bought doggie bones. Where do you get the cookie cutter? Where di you find that adorabe graphic.. Did you create that?

Ginger, I got my cookie cutter at a local craft store- Hobby Lobby.. the pooch pic came from ImageChef.com. You can semi-customize the messages.

Not sure how the cheese will work Lizette. May have to just try and see.

Looks like a great recipe for our 4 legged friends.   Just wondering about the sodium in the beef boullion cube -- do they make them without salt?    Do cats like this recipie too?

You can get low sodium beef boullion- haven't tried it for cats, but they might like it too.

Melissa- great idea, my mini-weiner will love these. Although I will have to be spating, she is a bit "portly" and vet is on our case. lol

Neat idea.  I buy my "homemade" dog cookies from a canine boutique, but, I would certainly be willing to give it  try with your recipe.  I hadn't a clue what to use.

Oh I will have to try that sometime for some clients whose youngest, Lucy, is a Dachsund, I even have a bone shaped cookie cutter!  Thank you!

I don't think my dachshund will eat these. Does anyone have another recipe with more meat in it?

I make my own dog food twice a week and add some EVO small bites to the mixture when I serve it to my dog.

3 Cups Rice, 1 Jar Baby Food Vegatables, mix together. 1 1/2 lbs of hamburg very lean boiled in 2 cups water to make juicy and mixed with the rice mixture.

OK, gotta try this. I've been watching Rachel Ray's cooking for pooches show, so I'm motivated to make something for my 2 best buddies, Traveler and Gabe. And, bought treats are SOOOO expensive! This is definitely something I'll try out!

Cookie recipe sounds great.  My dogs are now on a special diet.  So I cannot make this for them.  I am so disappointed.
