I finished reading Lisa Johnson’s
Mind Your X’s and Y’s about ten days ago. It’s been sitting on the desk whispering, “blog me… blog me…
Subtitled the 10 Cravings of a New Generation of Consumers, Lisa explores what we need to be aware of to help facilitate communication with these younger generations. Of course, half of the people reading this post may be of Gen X. That would be interesting to know – leave a one line comment if you were born between 1965 and 1979.
Here are comments I inked in on the cover. I won’t explain them, but you can see how the book triggers some interesting thoughts.
- College Recruitment Program
- The Benefits of Home Ownership
- The American Dream
- What the Old Folks Listened T0 – Remixed & Released by New Artists
- How to Use Your Equity to Help Your Children Own a Home
- My Realtor Thinks I Need a House
- Connected & Competent
- Skype on Site
- X & Y C of C
- Help Plan the House You Want to Own
- Tony Soprano Home Buying Plan
Lisa makes this great point: “Baby Boomers have a tremendous amount of cash, but the Connected Generation is radically changing the rules of engagement and setting the pace for how companies and organizations of every kind will interact with consumers.”
I’ll follow up with some notes from the book tomorrow.
