I have been selling Waukesha County real estate for just about 25 years now, and if there is one thing I have learned is the only thing constant about real estate is change. Change in forms, change in government, change in laws, changes in underwriting, change in just about every angle of this Industry.
I do one thing that is never going to change; I always need to stick to the basics of this business of I will lose hold of the basic fundamentals and techniques that have helped me. People are and always will be people. This is a people business. When I started in this Industry it was plainly evident that I saw changes I would like to see and it just proved one more time that the majority was not always right.I was shown through my eyes that it really was not so much the way the World approached us but more importantly it was more important with how we approached the world. I decided early on that I wanted to make a difference in customer service and develop a marketing plan and way I did business that actually allowed me to interact better with clients and get them to a closing and not just have them be another casualty or expired listing like I saw so many of them winding up being in the eighties.It did not take long for me to realize that the only thing and the first thing I needed to change was my attitude. It was my attitude that would prove to be my guide in how I was to do business and create a positive approach and forget the self defeating prophecies that talked me out of things before I even started. I am proud to say that today in Waukesha County Real Estate I still know it all starts with attitude, and maintaining a positive one.
