January 2012 License Exam Pass Rate Trend for Certified Residential Appraisers

By
Education & Training with Rowlett Real Estate School

Below is the number of test takers who are getting Certified as Residential Appraisers and the Exam Pass Rate Trend for Florida.

Not much seems to be increasing in the way of Florida Certified Residential Appraisers. There were only three exams given in the state of Florida in January of 2012.  Out of those three, two passed and one failed.

There were 0 retakes on the state exam.  The overall Passing rate in Florida for the month of January 2012 is 66.67%, leaving the overall failing rate at 33.33%

As far as Certified General Appraisers, there were no exams given and only one retake who passed.

The market doesn't seem to be supporting the need for more appraisers in Florida.  The amount of test takers is a good indicator of the current market conditions.

Captain Wayne is a two thirds passing rate good for this test? Must be a pretty difficult test.

Interesting data point. What was it in January of 2011 or for the entire year of 2011?

Hi Wayne, those are really low numbers. Other indicators for a better market are showing up. Maybe this one shows up after the others.

Thanks for the insight in to whether more appraisers need to be hitting the book, taking the exam. Sound like not so hot in that department right now in the market.
