Steak and Shake hmmmm its pretty good but worth an hour wait?
So on attempt #4 to get a taste of an old favorite that is now open here in Denver, Steak and Shake, I happen to be running an errand during a snowstorm and was so close I figured "no way could there be a line during this" but lo and behold THERE WAS! Luckily only about a 10 minute wait, mind you DURING A SNOWSTORM?!?!?! a 10 minute wait, but I decided to wait and pick up an order for my crew since I was out solo.
SO I bring back the PRIZE 2 bagfuls of Steak and Shake that we had been let down multiple times trying to stop in before. Everyone excited and in shock and as we take that first bite we go... "OK this is good but seriously how on earth is there such a frenzy over this"? Maybe its the fact there are so many east coast and Midwest transplants here that enjoyed it and have not seen it since but I have to believe those who don't want to wait will be able to stop in without the 1hr+ (standard) wait.
As a little tip, the guy at the register told me, when I asked about any better times than another to stop by, "Yeah if you swing by between 10:30p-Midnight there usually is not too bad of a wait" (LOL)!?!?!?
So there you go... if you live in Denver or anywhere close and you want to enjoy a classic Steak and Shake you can pop in a little before midnight to avoid the hour wait. Just don't eat too much and go to bed too soon or that food will surely be packing on the pounds.
Have a great rest of the weekend.
