Yes in some cases in our business Free is a four letter word that begins with F.  But, in some cases that can also be good.  Last week I was struggling with work on designing a commercial space for a client.  You know how some clients are creative and can envision anything, whereas others only see what is in front of them and cannot see past the present and what they can see and touch.  

 

SO in order to help my 11 year old son introduced me to SketchUp by Google.  Simply go to your iGoogle account page and click on More.  Find SketchUp and discover what many professional graphic designers and architects have already know about.

After a little work I had this 3D rendering of a commercial building:

 

As you can see I can simply walk into the same building and then work on the inside:

 

 

I would show you more but that would revel my clients plans.  Maybe later.  For now believe me when you see the finished product it will amaze you what I DID!  What is even more amazing was that my 11 year old son showed me how to use it in just an hour.  We imported a couple of Google Street View pictures and then simply fleshed it out TO SCALE.
