Craigslist

For those who are seeking a free way in which to advertise themselves, Craigslist may be beneficial to you.

The plus is that there information is looked at by thousands of people daily and the individual posts can appear on search engine results.

The negative aspect is that the postings only stay there for seven days.

If you have the patience to keep putting up the free postings, this may be beneficial to you.  Otherwise, it is probably a waste of time.

5 Comments on Craigslist: A Opition for Real Estate Professionals and Vendors?

Hi Justin,

I actually have set up my blackberry to remind me to re-post the ads, usually realy early in the morning or right before I am going home.  It takes only 2-5 minutes and it's done.  Because it is a free service there are tons of ads and yours will tend to be pushed to the bottom.  What I do is I usually post 2 ads every day.  This way, it always appears on the first 3 pages or search at any given time.  Yes, I now is a lot of work, but I have been getting a nice stream of people that respond to my ads.

Hi Justin,

My company made a faster way to load to craigslist about 3 years ago. Our craigslist loader takes about 5 seconds. Depending on what part of the country you are in, the time limit on craigslist varies.

It could be 7-45 days. When a listing expires, you can click our reload button and it will resend all information to craigslist.

We speed load the process, and we recommend it to  all our clients, because craigslist generates buyer leads.

Post Your Listings puts the agents photos on craigslist,

Check out http://www.classifiedflyerads.com/ which gives you an option to have your ad automatically posted to Craigslist and the other directories.   The nice thing about http://www.classifiedflyerads.com/ is that along with your full color flyer being posted to these directories, you also get a free full color web page of your listing which often shows up in web searches.  You can choose from over 70 full color template designs, can add up to 15 photos and much more.

Hey Justin,

I have had some really good results off posting listings on Craig's List.

Craigslist is just one of the many tools at the real estate agents' disposal. It's free and it isn't time consuming. Posting fully compliant ads on Craigslist will deliver results.
