Building Relationships with Real Estate Vendors

By
Real Estate Agent with Pearson Smith Realty

I have a strong referral network of local vendors in the real industry to help give my clients the best service from start to finish during the home buying process.

Recently I recommended a client of mine a home inspector.  After looking around online, they decided to go with another home inspector.  Never working with the guy, I contacted him and introduced myself and set an appointment for the home inspection.  Our conversation ended with, "9:00 A.M. Friday morning - see you then!" and later confirmed.

We arrived at the property at 9:00 that Friday morning...no home inspector.  We waited 10 minutes...still no home inspector.  I called/emailed the home inspector...no answer.  I called the home inspector I use regularly...he moved back 2 appointments and was there in 10 minutes!

My client was extremely impressed with how thorough and knowledgable he was.  He answered all of my client's questions and my client left the house happy with the information he received and condition of the home he is purchasing.

When choosing the vendors I recommend to my clients, I scheduled meeting and treated it almost as an interview process, making sure my clients would receive only the very best service.  From lenders, home inspectors, home warranty companies and movers to personal trainers, accountants and lawyers...I have someone to recommend to my client to ensure they get the service they deserve.

If you are thinking of buying or selling a home, contact me today at 540.454.1551 or eric@e4realty.com.

Forgot to mention - the initial home inspector emailed me two days later and apologized, he forgot to write down the appointment!

Hi Eric. I know you were pissed...all that time wasted. It goes to show its important to have a working relationship already established.  Can't believe that guy didn't even respond back to you. Anyway you made your client happy in the end.

Anyone who does not respond to customer service goes no farther with me. In today's day and age, being available and showing up on time is default behavior.

Definitely wasn't happy about the situation - good thing I knew of a home inspector who would come through!  In the end, it's always about making the process as smooth as possible for the client!
