You get the call and there’s an agent with buyers in tow due to arrive in 30 minutes. The house is perfectly clean, but you don’t have enough time to bake bread or make cookies. What’s worse, you’re a perfectionist and it’s going to irk you to no end that you can’t create the ultimate showing environment.

Quick, grab that toaster and your trusty French Vanilla Eggo Waffles and get to work “baking cookies in your toaster.” Your kitchen will smell like you’ve been baking all day – without the mess. As you grab your waffle to go, you can snicker at your triumph and chomp on a great snack at the same time.

You can thank my 11 year old for inspiring this blog. If he hadn’t chosen that particular flavor, you’d be out of luck! I returned home after showing houses one rainy afternoon and swore there were schnickerdoodles waiting for me in my kitchen.

Look for more showing ideas in blogs to come. I have 4 great kids, so I’m sure one of them will inspire me soon!

Waffles have not been proven to sell homes in the past, but feel free to share your success stories! And by all means, don't try to put raw cookies in your toaster...

I may try this in my house, and it isn't even for sale!  Cute post, Natalie!

Thanks, Patricia.  Your house will smell yummy!  I had fun with my disclaimer, too...

Natalie, that is actually a good idea and with all the different flavors, I am sure we could find one weenjoy that would still give that baking fresh aroma in our home... AND they taste better than plug ins

Stephen, you're absolutely right.  I've tried it before and plug ins take 36 hours and an entire jar of peanut butter to remove the aftertaste!

Natalie,

That is a great idea.  Isn't it amazing what kids can come up with!  That is one thing I really like about AR is that everyone shares their ideas and you can learn so much.  What other industry has competitors helping each other?

Martin.  I don't have an answer for that one, but boy am I happy to be part of this!  Glad you made it back!
