Everyone seems to be interested in building their respective business and nearly all of the respondents recognize that networking as an effective means of accomplishing that objective. 

As a follow-up to that post, we encourage everyone to mark their calendars and observe International Networking Day^TM.

International Networking Day^TM will be a celebration and recognition of the most acknowledged method of business generation today - "networking." The goal of International Networking Day^TM is to celebrate the key role that networking plays in the development and success of businesses across the world.

An initiative of BNI, International Networking Day^TM is February 6, 2007 and will be the cornerstone to the development of International Networking Week which will feature various networking events, both nationally and internationally, throughout the BNI's 26 country network.

The focus of these events will be to bring together representatives of government, businesses and the community to network with each other, to understand the concept of good networking and to listen to talks by key networking specialists from across the world. These speakers will offer advice and information on how businesses can grow and succeed through good networking practices.

Invitations to attend are open to the wider business community, members of other networking organizations, students, press representatives and interested parties from all levels of government and business. The purpose of International Networking Week^TM is to raise the profile of networking in the wider community, recognizing it as an essential tool for success in today's business climate.
