The neighborhood was bustling preparing for the season to come
But very few people knew it was offensive to some

How were they to know that when shopping for gifts at the mall
They weren't allowed to call them Christmas presents at all

Although they were Christians and it is the time of the year
They were told to be quiet and not wish Christmas Cheer

So thanks to the courts and the ACLU
I cannot say Merry Christmas to you

So, it is with much regret that I must say
Seasons Greetings to you. What a big load of hay!
