I came up with the idea recently to make individual pages for neighborhoods in my area.  Now, I have to warn you...this type of thing is a lot of work.   BUT...it does pay off.

Apparently everyone does website for the general area that they live in (i.e. the town or city) but not many do them for individual neighborhoods.  That is the secret to this.

I have created pages for some neighborhoods in my area and when you do a search for them I come back as Google page #1.

Go ahead, try it.

Open a browser window and go to Google.com, now type in Inverness Fayetteville NC and see what happens.

Yep, that is my neighborhood page that comes up right at the #1 position!

I want people in my area to be able to use my site as the "go-to" site fo information and this is one way that I am accomplishing this.

Go ahead, give a neighborhood page a shot...but I have to warn you...it IS a lot of work.

Think outside the box...never know what might come of it.

Hi Jeff,

I've actually written neighborhood posts on AR and then I link them to my website at the bottom.  It helps w/google placement also.
